Welcome to the Board, Prince Long Lo
We are delighted to welcome Prince Long Lo to the You Belong Board as our newest Board Member, where he will play a key role in strengthening our Philanthropy & Community Engagement efforts.
Prince is a highly respected community leader with extensive experience in economic development, local government, and multicultural engagement. As a former international student who chose to make the Toowoomba region home, he brings a deeply personal understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in building a new life in Australia.
His passion for empowering refugees as Waymakers aligns closely with You Belong’s vision of seeing Waymakers thrive in inclusive communities. Throughout his career, Prince has helped support the successful settlement and workforce integration of more than 5,000 Waymakers and culturally diverse individuals across Brisbane and the Darling Downs, creating meaningful pathways to employment, independence and belonging.
Prince’s dedication to building stronger, more inclusive communities was recognised in 2024 when he received the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards Diversity & Inclusion Award, honouring his outstanding contribution to multicultural Australia.
He also brings valuable governance experience, having served on the Multicultural Queensland Advisory Council, where he was appointed by the Minister for Multicultural Affairs to ensure regional voices from the Darling Downs were represented in shaping Queensland’s multicultural future.
With his experience in government, economic development and cross-sector collaboration, Prince is passionate about building partnerships that create sustainable opportunities for Waymakers and strengthen the communities they now call home.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Prince to the You Belong family. We are excited for the wisdom, leadership and community connections he will bring as we continue working together to inspire welcome, empower Waymakers, and build communities where everyone belongs.
